MARINE APPLICATIONS
Monoglass® has been used in container ships, private luxury yachts, ferries, U.S. Coast Guard ships and British naval vessels. Well over 100 ships worldwide use Monoglass for it’s superior thermal properties.
Monoglass is also ideally suited as an acoustical treatment for the walls and ceilings of engine rooms and other noise generating areas of the ship where maximum levels of sound absorption are required.
For ship safety, Monoglass is inorganic and non-combustible, and will not provide any assistance to the buildup of fire.
Monoglass is particularly well suited for extremely low temperature service. Gulf Oil chose Monoglass to thermally insulate their floating housing attached to their drilling operations in the Beaufort Sea, where temperatures reach -70ºF/-56ºC.
Thermal and acoustic insulation is quickly and economically achieved with Monoglass Spray-On.
